CityGrid APIs provide programmatic access to content and an ad network for local publishers to build applications using rich content fromfor more than 15 million local businesses in the U.S.

The term hyperlocal refers to a focus around a well defined, community and area with primary focus being directed towards the concerns of its local citizens.

As the API Evangelist for the CityGrid APIs I want to make sure developers have access to as many resources as possible to be successful with their hyperlocal web and mobile applications.

So I created HypL0cal to showcase code, prototypes, starter kits in multiple programming lanuages:

I am also deploying Hyp3rL0cal prototypes for various platforms:

CityGrid also provides two complete mobile SDKs for building native mobile applications for:

  • iOS
  • Android

In the future I'll also be working on HTML5 mobile application prototypes as well as showcasing other APIs and tools that can be used to build hyperlocal web and mobile applications.

I will be replicating our directory for each city I travel to, so I can sample the local data. Here are the cities I've done so far:

If you have some code or an application you'd like me to list here at Hyp3rL0cal, let me know.
